Have Friends Over
Even if you don’t have kids, you can still enjoy your swimming pool, and nothing says you can’t have an adult swim party. In fact, adults can enjoy floating in the pool and relaxing just as much as kids like to have water fights. You and your friends can enjoy the cool water while drinking cold beverages and catching up on each other’s lives.
Having a pool does mean you’re likely to be volunteered to host family gatherings, friendly get-togethers, and even work functions, so be prepared for that. While it may mean you have to do some cleaning and yard work, that can actually be a good thing if you find it hard to get motivated to do either. As the host, it also means you don’t have to deal with packing up the kids’ swim gear or transporting any food or drink to another person’s home, which can also be very nice.

If you love to swim for exercise, having a pool in your backyard takes away any excuse you might have for not working out. Even the smaller pools still give you space to exercise by doing water aerobics.
